A tiny little milestone

This morning the family went over to Nana and Grandpa Bill's house for our regular Sunday morning bagel-fest. The boys were actually very well behaved - no major melt-downs. Henry spent a lot of the morning sitting on the rug playing with some of the bazillion toys at Nana's. At one point he got tired of being on the floor and sounded the "if-you-don't-pick-me-up-in-the-next-30-seconds,-I will-make-you-very-sorry" alarm. I obliged, he immediately gave me a huge goofy grin, and to my great surprise, I saw a tooth!!!

See for yourself:

(oh, it's there, you have to look very closely)

My little monkey man is growing up. It's at these tiny milestones when you really do realise just how far they've come. It seems like yesterday we were giving him breathing treatments every 4 hours for his RSV, and now he sleeps through the night, eats baby-food, sits up, laughs at his big brother, and now he has a tooth! I know it's just a tooth, but I'm fascinated by it. Soon he'll be chewing on cheerios and leaving indentations when he bites me. How cute.

When we were having such a hard time keeping Henry healthy for the first few months, and finding the right formula for him, John and I agreed that he might very well be our last baby. It was just so hard. But now that he's becoming a bit more independent and so much more manageable, I can't help but think that eventually we'll want another.

I mean, come on, look at that face.....
