On January 16th of this year, we had Henry. He's been quite a hand full. First, he never liked sleeping on his back, so we had to ignore all the warnings about SIDS and allow him to sleep on his belly. With the help of an Angel Care monitor (it senses movement - ie breathing - and alerts you if none is detected for 20 seconds) we were able to get some sleep at night. Not a lot of sleep mind you, but some. He developed what we were told was a cold at around 3 weeks, and he never slept for too long at once after that. When the cold didn't get better, we switched their pediatrician, and lo and behold, he actually had RSV (an extremely dangerous virus that can be fatal in infants) and had to be admitted to the hospital. After administering breathing treatments at home via nebulizer for a bit over a week, he's doing much better. We're happy to report that he is now sleeping upstairs in his own room in his big boy crib, and only waking once in the night. We never thought we'd get here! It was pretty rough in the beginning.
